The total import cargos of 45,221 tonnes comprised of 17,560 tonnes of containerised cargo; 5,111 tonnes of bulk cargo; 1,517 tonnes of soyabean seeds; 1,170 tonnes of palm kernel expeller and 20,230 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargos of 21,343 tonnes comprised of 7,179 tonnes of containerised cargo; 400 tonnes of bulk cargo; 13,764 tonnes of clinkers and nil tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
As many as 2,007 containers comprising of 1,316 containers import and 691 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The breakup of imported containers shows 406 of 20's and 414 of 40's loaded while 18 of 20's and 32 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 216 of 20's and 187 of 40's loaded containers while 95 of 20's and 03 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There were six three ships namely Ever Deluxe, Super Lady, Al Safa, SCF Alpine, Ariana and Elgiznur Cebi carrying containers, oil tankers, mogas, chemical and general cargo respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
There were seven vessels viz. CMA CGM Lamartine, Kota Cabar, KMTC Mumbai, Irenes Reliance, Star N, MT Quetta and Oriental Jasmine carrying containers and oil tankers respectively currently at the berths.
The total import cargo of 44,906 tonnes includes 4,060 tonnes of coal; 16,216 tonnes of LNG; 7,155 tonnes of palm oil; 3,259 tonnes of canola; 1,600 tonnes of chemical and 12,616 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 37,630 tonnes includes 1,910 tonnes of rice and 35,720 tonnes of containerised cargo.
As many as 3,804 containers comprising of 2,600 containers import and 1,204 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday.
There were three ships namely CMA CGM Rigoletto, Northern Julie, and Al-Marrouna carrying containers and LNG respectively sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while another ship namely Bhai Ravi carrying chemical is expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of nine vessels were occupied berths to load/offload containers, coal, rice, canola, chemical, LNG, diesel oil and palm oil respectively at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
As many as nine vessels viz. Le Havre, African Bari Bird, Vega Taurus, IVS Swinley Forest, Star Ploeg, Marangas Coronos, Gulf Horizon, Maritime Riyal and Silver Emily carrying containers, coal, chemical, mogas, LNG and palm oil respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
There were seven ships viz. Maersk Denver, Le Havre, African Bari Bird, Vega Taurus, IVS Swinley Forest, Star Ploeg and Marangas Coronos, carrying containers, coal, chemical and LNG respectively expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Engro Elengy Terminal respectively on Tuesday.
There were two ships namely Porthos and Maersk Denver carrying containers due to arrive on Tuesday, while another ship namely MOL Generosity carrying containers is due to arrive on Wednesday.
